Nayanjot Lahiri & MA Sikandar's article In a class apart (July 9) was highly readable. I would like to add that Maurice Gywer was another VC who provided basic infrastructure and put the university on a firm academic footing by hiring the best faculty. Deepak Nayyar restored the glory of the campus and restructured academics on modern lines while Deepak Pental is strengthening the science departments.
