Addressing an election rally at Mohammadabad in Ghazipur district on Monday in support of his party’s nominee Sri Krishen alias Gama Ram, the Chief Minister took a dig at the BJP, the BSP and the Congress for levelling ‘baseless’ charges against his party and the government.

He said this election was prestigious for the Samajwadi Party in view of the circumstances which led to the by-poll in Mohammadabad assembly constituency. However, he did not go into the details.

It may be mentioned that murder of BJP legislator Krishnanad Rai on November 29 necessiated the by-poll and almost all the parties except the Samajwadi Party demanded a CBI enquiry into the killing and also triggered protests for over a month against the rise in criminal activities in the state.

Launching a blistering attack on the Congress, Mulayam Singh said at the rally that this party had always tried to destablise his government. “ The Congress is indulging in conspiracies to get success in their game plan”, Yadav said.

However, he said his party rank and file was strong enough to foil its nefarious designs. Yadav urged the voters to vote for the SP nominee and assured to change the face of Ghazipur if its candidate wrested the seat, earlier held by the BJP.

He said his party was a die hard support er of youth and student leaders as it was the student leaders whose politics suited the people as they kept themselves away from corrupt activities and remained honest in their political career.

Yadav also highlighted the achievements during his over two year rule.
