CHIEF MINISTER Shivraj Singh Chouhan today met Union Commerce Minister Kamal Nath and Union Heavy Industries Minister Santosh Mohan Deb at New Delhi and sought their help in the development of Madhya Pradesh.

Former chief minister and now Commerce and Industries Minister Babulal Gaur accompanied Chouhan for both the meetings. In his meeting with Deb, the Chief Minister urged the Union Minister to expedite process for handing over of 2,500 acres of BHEL land to the State Government for use in development schemes. Deb assured Chouhan that the matter would be followed up soon.

Chief Minister further urged Kamal Nath for early clearance of the convention-cum-trade centre at Bhopal, garment  manufacturing cluster at Jabalpur and food processing and packaging cluster at Chhindwara.

The development of these clusters would significantly enhance the State’s industrial potential, Chouhan said, urging that the abundant land and natural resources available in the State be harnessed for industrial development. Kamal Nath assured the Chief Minister that all hurdles in expediting the projects would soon be cleared.
