All 223 MLAs out of 225 will be taking oath separately and the process will end on Thursday.
On May 31, the governor will address the joint session of assembly and legislative council and by June 3 the assembly will move a resolution.
On the first day of the fourteenth assembly, chief minister Siddaramaiah, his cabinet colleagues, opposition leaders, including former chief minister BS Yeddyurappa, Jagadish Shettar and others were present.
Siddaramaiah went up to the seats of senior leaders, wished them and shook hands of senior leaders, including Yeddyurappa.
At the assembly lounge, Yeddyurappa said that he would act like a responsible opposition leader and alert the government if it commits any mistakes.
At the same time, he said his party was ready for alliance in the coming Lok Sabha elections with any political party, but he will not go back to BJP.
