Concession to those travelling for treatment

Railways have decided to give 50% concession in second class and sleeper class fares to persons who are travelling for treatment.

Railways have decided to give 50 per cent concession in second class and sleeper class fares to persons who have lost their limbs in accident or due to any other causes, travelling for treatment, Rail Minister Lalu Prasad said.

This will be provided for travel to institutes of national level and for transplantation of artificial limbs like Jaipur foot along with one attendant, Prasad said.

He had last year provided 50 per cent concession in second class fares to farmers and milk producers for travel to institutes of national level for purposes of training and learning better agricultural practices and dairy farming.
