Conductor gets life term for rape, murder in UP

The duo raped the woman on the night of March 22 last year before throwing her out of the bus.

A local court has awarded life sentence to a conductor and seven-year imprisonment to a driver for raping a woman and then killing her by throwing her out of a running bus.

Additional District Sessions Judge KK Asthana sentenced conductor Deepak Kumar and driver Anand on Friday.

The duo raped the woman, who was travelling with her children to Rohana village, on the night of March 22 last year, according to the prosecution.

The duo then threw the victim out of the bus, they said adding she died on the way to hospital.
