He was speaking as a chief guest at a Congress Workers’ Sadhbhawna meet in Varanasi on Monday.
“The common man is looking towards Congress in UP and time has come when the party workers should remove their all differences and work for the welfare of the common public,” he said.
Common public has been disappointed with the alleged misrule of the Samajwadi Party.
“Anarchy and lawlessness has been prevailing across the State during the Samajwadi Party regime,” he said and exhorted the Congress workers to fight jointly to come in the power.
He expressed his apprehension that the Samajwadi Party would use all unfair means to regain power in State during the upcoming Assembly elections.
Arun Singh said that there was lack of value-based politics in several political parties.
He added that these political parties were preferring muscle men instead of party workers while allotting election tickets.
“Congress workers should make efforts for regaining the lost glory of the party and secure maximum seats in the local body elections of Uttar Pradesh,” he said.
Other Congress leaders including Ganesh Shankar Pandey (Vice President of State Congress Commitee), Shyam Kishore Shukla, mani Shankar Pandey, Vijay Shankar Pandey, Prazanath Sharma and Daya Shankar Mishra also dwelt on the occassion.
