Flaying the State Government, Patel said he was committed to foil the BJP government’s intentions to sell nearly 2000-acre land in many villages including Gandhi Nagar, Nainod, Jambordi Hapsi, Bisnavada to land mafia and builders in the name of SEZ.

Patel said the Government was not only acquiring land forcibly but also fixing prices in an arbitrary manner. He also appealed to the Governor Balram Jakhar to intervene in the matter.

Patel also slammed the government over what he called artificial scarcity of urea and fertilisers. He expressed surprise that thought villagers were facing power crisis the farmers were getting hefty power bills.

Patel demanded that all the cases registered against farmers should be withdrawn. He also urged for a repeat survey of people living below poverty line.

Senior Congress leaders including Rameshwar Patel, Ramchandra Verma, Kripashankar Shukla and Tulsi Silawat took part in the demonstration.
