Cop?s murder: Several leads still to be explored

What about Guddu Misra and Dilip Misra ? Dilip also a block pramukh from Chaka in Naini is said to be closely related to Samajwadi Party MLA from Bhadohi Vijay Misra who is a mafiosi in his own right with more than two dozen cases mostly heinous crimes registered against him. Are cops under pressure from this criminal turned politician? Yes, say some cops on condition of strict anonymity.
The same sources said, both Guddu and Dilip spend most of the time together. The killer of the head constable Pintu Misra, his cohorts, Jitendra Misra (in police custody) Amit Chaube, Vineet Singh, Mama and the kingpin of the gang Babloo Misra from Varanasi had also stayed in the house of Guddu Misra. What is most appalling is the fact that the entire team led by Babloo Misra had been camping in the Naini area for the past one and a half months preceding the murder in Civil Lines.
If this is so, why has the police failed to interrogate both Guddu and Dilip even after knowing that the gang was also carrying an AK 47 assault rifle. All they have done till date in this case is to show the belated arrest of Pradeep Tripathi late on Saturday night. Pradeep is the gram pradhan of Narayanpur Basahi in Karchana area.
The sources said, he had been actually let off by the police under heavy political pressure but he was arrested late last night after cops became suspicious that mediapersons had come to know about their act of letting Pradeep go scot-free.
The fact that Pradeep had to do a lot with the gang has been established by his own confession late in the night at the Civil Lines police station where his dramatic arrest has been shown. Through Vineet Singh, who was close to him, he also knew about the diabolical plan to murder jailed outlaw Sujeet Singh during his transit to the sessions court from Naini Central Jail.
With all such revelations in the background it is shocking why cops have not cared to touch Dilip and Guddu Misra till date.
