Corporators rally against BMC top boss

ABOUT A dozen Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) corporators today met Minister for Urban Administration Jayant Malaiya and Minister in-charge of the district Raghavji and complained against the functioning of Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) Commissioner Manish Singh.

The corporators were annoyed over the filing of FIR by the BMC administration against the BJP corporator, Vandna Parihar, who allegedly stopped the BMC team from removing an encroachment at Nehru Nagar Square a couple of days back.

BMC chairman Ramdayal Prajapati and Leader of BJP corporators Ashok Pandey led the corporators. It is learnt that Malaiya assured the corporators that he would talk to the Chief Minister in this regard.

The corporators told the Minister that the BMC should not have filed the FIR against the corporator. They pleaded that corporator’s husband was involved in the incident but the name of corporator was unnecessarily dragged into the incident.
