Rejecting an application moved by another accused Monica’s advocate under Section 306 (4) CrPC – contesting that all facts and statements provided by Siraj were false and baseless – the court declared Siraj as approver.
The court maintained that the application moved by Monica’s advocate was premature.Adding that Siraj’s statements – requesting that he be turned into an accused-turned-approver – were duly taken into investigation and found to be correct and true, the court upheld Siraj’s request of being removed from the list of accused.
The next hearing – for recording statements of prosecution witnesses – will be held on February 13.
