AS MANY as 293 application forms for the Combined Pre-Medical Test-2006 do not have candidates’ signatures.
Another 250 applicants have not mentioned their date of birth on the forms. All this came to light during a screening process.
The UP King George’s University of Dental Sciences that is conducting the exam has given applicants time between April 28 and 30 to correct these errors.
The authorities have also finalised examination centers. The examination will be conducted in 147 centres in UP and four in Uttaranchal this year.
In UP, there are 29 centres in Lucknow, 15 in Kanpur, 16 in Allahabad, five in Moradabad, two in Muzaffarnagar, four in Aligarh, five in Meerut, two in Jaunpur, nine in Agra, seven in Gorakhpur, six in Faizabad, eight in Ghaziabad, two in Saharanpur, five in Jhansi, four in Noida and seven in Bareilly. Approximately, 18,000 applicants have opted to take the exam in Lucknow, 14,000 in Allahabad, 12,000 in Kanpur and 1,300 in Dehradun.
Meanwhile, a meeting of the district level nodal officers engaged in conducting the CPMT-2006 exam has been called on April 26, at the dental university.
The meeting will review progress and decide on measures to conduct a free and fair exam. Officials, mostly ADMs, will also be briefed about the exam process so that there are no errors.
