Cross border links in blast, says Shivraj Patil
Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil said in Ajmer on Saturday that the investigation into the recent blast at the dargah of Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti has revealed terrorist links across India’s borders.
Patil, who visited the shrine where two were killed and several injured in Thursday’s blast, said, “I am fully aware of the progress of the probe. The investigation is going as far as our borders.” He said it would not be proper at this juncture to disclose leads from the investigation.
The minister assured the Rajasthan government of all assistance from the Centre.
The Home Minister, who offered a chadar at the shrine, also visited the injured in a local hospital in Ajmer and promised them all help.
“Everyone is with you in this hour of grief. The Centre and the state government will provide all possible help to victims,” Patil said.
Regarding the progress of the investigation, Rajasthan’s Additional Director General (Crimes) A.K. Jain said, “Police teams have been sent to the neighbouring states and feedback is awaited from them.” He added complete normalcy has returned to the dargah and pilgrims are visiting as usual.
