In order to hold the half-yearly examinations religiously at every college, the university has issued a set of directives to follow.
According to the directives issued through order CSJMU/R-Camp/3810/2006, each college will have to conduct the examination from December 16 to December 23, 2006 positively. The directives also made the examination compulsory for regular students.
The directives further said that the examination schedule of each college should reach the university latest by November 30. Colleges will have to follow varsity pattern of setting question papers and they have to submit copy of each question paper and five copies of blank answer-sheets to the varsity.
In addition to it, the colleges will have to submit a statement of the attendance of students from the beginning of the session to December 15 and the marks awarded to them at the examination in the prescribed format. The colleges could also send this information on “dBase” or “Fox-Pro” software through CD or floppies.
This information must reach to the university latest by January 5, 2007. The directives further said that the university had constituted committees to ensure proper teaching at the colleges, fairness at the examination and also examine the facilities provided at the colleges to students.
The directives said that in case the colleges failed to ensure implementation of the directives they would not be issued any entry forms to their students to appear the final examination and disciplinary action would also be initiated against them under the State University Act 1973.
