The curfew, clamped on Tuesday, was relaxed from 8 am to 10 am, they said adding that the situation was tense but under control.

Meanwhile, the city was limping back to normalcy, after Friday's violence during a bandh, following which police used batons and fired teargas shells.

About 199 persons, including 28 women, were arrested as a large section of Dalits protested against the killing of four members of the community in Khairlanji in Bhandara district.
