D'Souza expected to be fit before Pak match

Indian hockey goal-keeper Adrian D'Souza suffered a hamstring injury during the 1-1 draw against New Zealand on Friday.

Indian goal-keeper Adrian D'Souza, who suffered a hamstring injury during the match against New Zealand, is expected to be fit for the Champions Trophy bronze medal play-off against Pakistan.

"It's a minor hamstring and not very serious. He is under treatment and expected to be alright before the Pakistan match," team sources said.

D'Souza suffered the injury when he charged out to save a penalty corner attempt in the first half of the match and was replaced under the bar by Devesh Chauhan.

India drew the crucial tie 1-1 to set themselves on course for a medal finish in the elite six-nation competition.
