The five carrying arms, including a revolver and a knife, barged into the bank at around 10:30 am and threatened bank officials and customers not to raise an alarm, police said.
They then looted Rs 19,50,000 from the cash counter and fled from the scene in a car.
Police have sealed all exit and entry points of the city to track them.
Johari Bazaar is one of the busiest markets in the Pink City. Most shops were open in the area when the dacoity took place.
