About a dozen men, apparently in their mid-twenties, identified themselves as policemen and barged into the residences of Santosh, Kaliram, Puddan and Dileep after midnight on Friday, the police said.

The dacoits were armed with traditional weapons and firearms. They tied up the occupants of the houses and pasted surgical tapes on their mouths, police said, adding, one person was seriously injured by them.

The police said the way the dacoits interacted with each other suggested they were locals and knew about the area. An FIR has been lodged against the unidentified decoits and investigations are going on, SHO of Ahrauli police station said.
