On Father’s Day, HT City asked a few tinseltown celebrities what their dads mean to them. Here’s what they had to say...
My father has always supported me ever since the beginning and has always been there for me. I feel privileged to have him by my side whenever I need him. I stay by myself in Mumbai and miss him a lot. I would have liked to spend this day with him.
Soha Ali Khan
I am a lot like my father in terms of our personalities. He is so calm and composed that I aspire to be just like him. I’ve learned a lot from him and have always looked up to him for everything. I am really proud to have him as my father.
My father is both a buddy and mentor to me. My fondest memories are of us going to our beach house near Alibagh once a month together. Even though we both have hectic schedules, we still continue the ritual.
Whatever I do for my dad, I can never match up to what he has done for me. I just hope to make him proud of me — both
as a son and as an actor. Whatever I am today, I am because of my dad.
My dad is the ultimate dude. He has been at his craft for the past forty years and even now, he manages to surprise us with every film that he makes. His zeal to entertain and to give something new to his audience defines his presence in Bollywood. He continues to inspire me and I wish I always manage to stay as driven as he is.
My father is a great guy — strong, silent and a man of principles. On Father’s Day, I plan to buy him a collection of his favourite music.
As far as my loved ones are concerned, everyday is special and important and I’ll treasure every moment.
