Enjoyed a breakthrough year in 2002 when she won her first WTA tour singles title at Indian Wells, beating Henin-Hardenne and Martina Hingis en route.



Seeded 18th, Hantuchova became the lowest seed to win a Tier I event, breaking 14th seed Jelena Dokic's record set at the 2001 Italian Open.



Her all-court style of play also guided Slovakia to their first Fed Cup title last November.



Despite drastically improving her game and mindset over the past 12 months, the Slovak will have to stay focused for the entire fortnight to fulfil her potential.
