The four flyovers under construction are at Dasna near NH-24 (4 lanes, Rs 46 crore), Vivekanand Nagar (4 lanes near Kavi Nagar Industrial area, Rs 38 crore), Nehru Nagar (4 lane, Rs 34 crore) and Murad Nagar (2 lanes, Rs 18 crore).

UPSBC officials said the entire work was reviewed at the meeting at the GDA. All four flyovers are being constructed over the major railway crossing to decongest traffic movement in the city.

After the discussions, Dasna and Nehru Nagar flyovers were finalised to be thrown open for operations by January, 2013. The other two flyovers at Vivekanand Nagar and Murad Nagar were scheduled for opening by end of May and August, respectively.

"There were several delays on part of other agencies. We have now decided to remove bottlenecks and expedite the work," said UPSBC deputy project manager Praveen Kumar.
