Dattu Choudhari (48) committed suicide on Sunday as he was unable to pay loan of Rs 1 lakh. A drought for the third consecutive year also added to his plight, an official attached with Nandgaon Police Station said.
Following a complaint by his brother Rajaram, a case has been registered in this regard, the officer said.
Joint investigations are being carried out by police and officials of the Maharashtra revenue department, he added.
