Delhi witnesses one more dengue death, toll is 14

One more person died of dengue on Wednesday at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, where 29 fresh cases were admitted, taking the total number of deaths in the national capital to 14.
Reshma, a resident of Meerut, succumbed to the deadly viral disease on Wednesday morning, AIIMS spokesperson Shakti Gupta said in the capital.
He said 72 people are undergoing treatment for dengue at the hospital and 29 fresh cases were reported since Tuesday.
Among the fresh cases, three are from the AIIMS campus. Three others have been discharged after treatment, he added.
Two deaths were reported from the capital on Tuesday as Union Health Minister Anbumani Ramadoss called a meeting of the affected states but said there was no need for panic.
Bansi, a resident of Mathura in Uttar Pradesh, who was being treated for dengue died at AIIMS on Tuesday night, while another person who has not been identified yet, succumbed to the disease at an east Delhi hospital.
