Infuriated by the delinking of KNIMS from AU, the employees led by AUCKU president Kanan Dasgupta held a meeting and burnt the effigy of KNT secretary Inder Khosla at the Chandrashekhar Azad park. The employees accused Khosla of taking arbitrary action and causing financial and mental harassment to the employees.

The employees had met Rahul Gandhi in Rae Bareli and informed him about the autocratic behaviour of Khosla and the problems of the employees. Responding to their complaint Rahul inspected the KNIMS during his visit in Allahabad on Sunday.

The employees sent a fax to Congress president Sonia Gandhi and informed her about the corrupt practices of Khosla. The employees requested Sonia Gandhi to appoint Rahul Gandhi as the president of the KNT in order to check the harassment and exploitation of patients and employees in the institute.
