The exposition, in which 20 countries are participating, will run till January 20.
The event being organised by CII, Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA) and Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) is likely to have over 960 exhibitors.
There would be country pavilions from China, Germany, UK and Taiwan.
Besides showcasing the latest models from the stables of Daimler Chrysler, Nissan, Suzuki Motor Corporation, Maruti Udyog and Bajaj Auto, there would also be the launch of auto products like two wheeler brake shoes and other accessories, CII said.
