On Sunday, Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda also planned to meet the anti-graft crusader but the visit was cancelled due to some 'unknown reasons'.

According to sources, Deshmukh came to the hospital around 8pm. The minister, who handed over Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's letter to Anna on Saturday, informing about Parliament's resolution, stayed in Anna's room for about 20 minutes. Deshmukh also enquired about Anna's health from doctors.

According to sources, the chief minister's plan to come to Gurgaon on Sunday for a cultural event at a hotel was cancelled and excise and taxation minister Kiran Chaudhary attended the event.

Hazare was admitted to the hospital on Sunday after he broke his 12-day hunger strike at Ramlila Maidan.

Sources said the hospital management has been discouraging visitors to the hospitals, keeping in view of the Gandhian leader’s health.

Dr Naresh Trehan has been insisting Anna’s supporters not to cause nuisance to patients or disrupt movement of hospital vehicles. The city had witnessed unprecedented crowd after news spread that Anna would be admitted in the hospital on Sunday. The hospital management has banned the entry of Anna's supporters to ensure complete recovery for the activist.
