Devotees take holy dip in Yamuna on Holla Mohalla in HP

A large number of devotees from different parts of the country today took holy dip in the Yamuna river and paid obeisance to Guru Gobind Singh at Paonta Sahib Gurudwara in Sirmaur district on the occasion of Holla Mohalla.

A large number of devotees from different parts of the country today took holy dip in the Yamuna river and paid obeisance to Guru Gobind Singh at Paonta Sahib Gurudwara in Sirmaur district on the occasion of Holla Mohalla.

The Holla Mohalla fare takes place every year on Holi at the Gurudwara founded by 10th Sikh Guru Gobind singh in 1685. The six-day long celebrations of Holla Mohalla, which is a major annual cultural event, began last evening.

The district administration and local municipal authorities have made elaborate arrangements for peaceful conduct of the fair, official sources said.

Gurudwara Prabhandak Committee has made arrangements for comfortable stay of thousands of devotees inside the gurudwara, sources in the committee said.
