Devotees waiting for Amma

THOUSANDS OF devotees are expected to seek blessings of Sadguru Mata Amritanandamayi Devi on March 22 at CSI Lawns, Vipin Khand, Gomti Nagar.

The spiritual guru would arrive at the lawns at 6 pm along with her 400 devotees from Delhi. Addressing media persons about Amma’s tour Swami Prajnanamritananda said the spiritual guru would stay in Lucknow for 30 hours.

During her stay here, Amma would personally bless her devotees. “Looking into the philanthropic work being undertaken under the aegis of Amritanandamayi Math in Uttar Pradesh, Amma is being considered as the state guest,” said the Swami.

He further said political leaders, bureaucrats, and known personalities would be among the crowds seeking her blessings. Speaker of the UP State Assembly Mata Prasad Pandey, BJP Leader Lalji Tandon, State Minister Ashok Bajpayee and Congress leader Jagdambika Pal are among the known personalities to seek the blessings of Amma. Among the bureaucrats, so far the name of Commissioner R K Mittal has come forth.

Elaborate security arrangements have been on the occasion. “We have conveyed the district administration and the SSP about the turnout, and requested proper security arrangements,” he added.

The discourse by Amma is expected to start at 6 pm. Construction of 112 free homes by the Math for the poor in Lucknow at Vrindavan Yojana Scheme- I, from this year, the Math has decided to start monthly  pension scheme for 10 handicapped persons. The monthly pension scheme for widows is already on.
