Dialling 4G, while 3G is still hanging

Even though the auction of 3G spectrum is in limbo, the regulator will soon start consultation process for higher level of services called 4G services. This was stated by the telecom regulatory authority of India (TRAI) chairman J S Sarma. 4G offers data download at much higher speed than 3G and makes gaming and video on demand much more attractive. Meanwhile, the CDMa operators have written to the prime minister’s advisor Sam Pitroda to take immediate steps to auction 4G spectrum.
