BJP's chief ministerial candidate for Delhi ML Khurana has accused incumbent chief minister and Congress leader Sheila Dikshit of "manipulating" television surveys that showed her to be leading the race for the coming assembly polls.

Khurana, himself a former chief minister here, also said that he would "retire and never contest an election again if the surveys are proved right".
"I will never contest a seat again and retire from politics if any of the surveys which predict that the Congress will win is proven right, and I challenge Dikshit to do the same. Only then will I believe that the surveys are done honestly," Khurana told reporters.
Claiming that Dikshit was not even conversant with the geography of Delhi, let alone its problems, Khurana said that he was at a loss to understand how TV surveys could predict that she would win a majority of the seats.
"The same media group, in a survey conducted a year and a half ago, projected me as the best chief minister Delhi has had while putting Sushma Swaraj at second. What has happened between then and now to change things so drastically?" he asked.
