Landscaped a decade ago on a space previously occupied by a drain on Aurobindo Marg overlooking the popular I.N.A. Market, Dilli Haat has established itself as a popular destination for shoppers looking to pick up ethnic items for their homes and wardrobes, and for gourmands seeking to sample the flavours of India. Much before malls came up and food courts sprouted like mushrooms on steroids, Dilli Haat was, and remains, the first pan-Indian food court in a city where tastebuds are becoming eclectic at an amazing pace. The food stalls are efficiently run, the waiters are pleasant, there's buzz all around because of happy families and romancing couples (who find the many dark corners ideal for love), but the quality of the offerings does vary from stall to stall.
