DM, SSP placed under suspension in Gorakhpur

As per information the former Sitapur DM Rakesh Goel has been sent as new DM of Gorakhpur, reports Umesh Raghuvanshi.

Taking a serious note of continuing violence the state government on Monday placed under suspension the district magistrate Gorakhpur Dr Hari Om, SSP Gorakhpur Raja Srivastava along with three other police officers.

As per information the former Sitapur DM Rakesh Goel has been sent as new DM of Gorakhpur. The SSP STF SK Bhagat goes as new SSP Gorakhpur.

Others placed under suspension include SP City Ram Bachan Yadav, CO City DN Diwedi and SO Tiwaripur Ramjeet Chaudhary.

According to Principal Secretary Home Satish Kumar Agarwal action has been taken against them for dereliction of duty and failure to bring situation under control in Gorakhpur.

Agarwal said DK Chaudhary from Kumbh Mela has been posted as the new SP City of Gorakhpur.

Sources said new DM and SSP have been rushed to Gorakhpur by a special plane and asked to initiate immediate measures to bring the situation under control.
