The ruling party with money and muscle power would try to disrupt the polls as they came to know that the people were unhappy with DMK's misdeeds, he said, while campaigning for PMK candidates in Arakkonam constituency in Vellore during the the last weekend.

On PMK candidate in Arakkonam constituency and Union Minister of state for Railways, R Velu, he said Velu would win the May 13 Parliament election by a margin of two lakh votes as he had won the "goodwill" of the pople by his performance.

DMK government's assurances such as providing two acres of land to all landless people and distribution of LPG connections and colour televisions were not fulfilled, he said.

The people were angry with the DMK government's stand on Sri Lankan Tamils issue also, he said.

Anbumani said the people were eager that the Assembly polls should be held in Tamil Nadu soon as they were "dissatisfied" with DMK government over the power-cut and prise rise issues.
