This sleek phone has a great-looking design that few androids can boast of. Whether it’s the sharp square edges, the metallic buttons or the different colours it is available in, this phone is a breath of fresh air.

Pros: Apart from the gorgeous looks, the phone, priced at R37, 990, comes with an excellent 13-mp camera with a 16x zoom. As dubious as it sounds, the phone does boast of great water and dust-resistant properties. If it gets dirty, you can easily slip it under tap water and wash it with a mild/soap detergent. The interface is user-friendly and intuitive, allowing you to preset Wi-Fi activation. The appstore comes well equipped too.

Cons: Despite being loaded with unique features and apps, the Xperia’s battery plays spoilsport. The phone needs frequent charging, and has a battery life of about nine hours with moderate usage. The off-angle viewing is a bit of a let-down, which means that if you look at the phone straight, the display seems great, but from an angle, it appears drained out.
