The woman, a production assistant, filed a police complaint which said an assistant director of DD had made obscene comments and subjected her to sexual harassment for over a year.

She said no action was taken internally on her complaints to DD director general Vijaylaxmi Chhabra.

"We are investigating the matter internally. Until then, I can't comment," Chhabra said.

According to Supreme Court guidelines and the law, complaints of sexual harassment must be probed with an in-house panel that must include an outside expert. The complainant is a member of DD's in-house committee.

She also alleged that she was punished with a transfer to the Central Production Centre office in Hauz Khas from DD's headquarters because of her complaint.
