Chandrama Prasad Dwivedi (50) , a retired CRPF constable, accidentally killed his 21-year-old son Ramesh with his gun in an inebriated state.

This happened while the son was trying to snatch the gun from the hands of his drunk father who was beating his wife for no rhyme or reason.

Seeing his son hit by the bullet which got fired accidentally, Chandrama ran and climbed the terrace of his house and hid himself there.

And when he came to know through the wails of his wife and family members that his son was dead, so shocked was he that he killed himself by repeatedly banging his head against the floor.

The incident has not only left the locals in a state of daze but others too living in the neighboring villages who rushed to this otherwise sleepy village to see for themselves as to what they had heard was true or not.

ocal cops too rushed to the village and took the two bodies in their possession
They were followed by the CO Bara and some other senior police officers including the SP trans-Yamuna.

Sources said, Chandrama having five grown up sons was in the habit of assaulting his wife whenever she tried to stop him from gulping liquor.
Today, Chandrama got drunk in the morning and picked up his gun to come to the city for some work. But his wife stopped him.

This was enough to send him into a fit of anger and he as usual started beating his wife with a gun in one hand.

Meanwhile, the youngest son, Ramesh, apprehending the danger of the gun getting fired in such situations tried to snatch the gun from the hands of his father without realizing that his apprehension was about to come true. And the same happened.
