Two days after a Haryana Police constable was run over by a dumper allegedly belonging to the sand mafia, the owner of the truck remained untraceable.

Police teams have been sent to the village of Rajpal Chauhan, the alleged owner of the truck, with posters of his photo. Police had said that Chauhan was following the dumper in a Santro car, before it broke a police barricade and hit the PCR van on which constable Mahavir Singh was sitting.
The police had also claimed that it was Chauhan who instigated the driver of the dumper, which was carrying illegally mined sand from the Yamuna, to break the barricade.
Chauhan is a resident of Alwar district of Rajasthan.
Faridabad police has constituted three teams to nab Chauhan. While one team has been sent to Alwar, two other teams are conducting raids in Faridabad.

Posters of Chauhan's picture are being distributed in his native village and among all the police stations of Alwar and neighbouring districts.
"We managed to get a photograph of the accused dumper owner and have made posters out of it. Our team will distribute it in Rajasthan and other police stations," said Darshan Lal Malik, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Sarai Khawaja.
"His mobile phone gave different locations on Monday but it is switched off now," he added.
Meanwhile, Pappu, the driver of the dumper, was on Monday produced before a local court which remanded him in two days police custody. "During the course of interrogation, he said he was working with Chauhan for the past one month," said Bhram Singh, SHO, Sarai Khawaja.
Meanwhile, Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda has announced Rs. 10 lakh ex-gratia for the next of kin of Singh. DGP, Haryana, Ranjeev Dalal has announced a job to one of Singh's family members, an official release said.
