Spacious and stylish with comfortable wooden furniture, East 101 is that rare Chinese restaurant where Mr Big, Dire Straits, Guns 'N' Roses and Eagles play in the background. There are Thai, Malaysian and Chinese dishes on the menu, because the restaurant started out by positioning itself as a South-East Asian bistro. But for the average punter, it seems, it's Chinese or Thai all the way, because the most popular dishes are the spicy Devilled Chicken, Vegetarian Green Curry and Jumbo Prawns in Garlic Sauce.
