Egypt will host the next summit of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) in 2009.
This was decided at the 14th Summit of the 116-member grouping in Havana on Sunday.
Egypt will take over as chairman of NAM at the next summit to succeed Cuba, which has just assumed the responsibility for the coming three years.
