The deceased has been identified as 50-year-old Rajaram Patil who was allegedly beaten to death by his elder brother Rau, they said. According to the police, land dispute may be the reason behind the attack.

The incident occurred on Thursday in Malpude village, they said adding the assailants left the victim thinking he was dead, while he unconscious then. However, Rajaram, succumbed to his injures later in the hospital, police said adding a case has been registered and further investigations are on.
