The petitioner, former Bharatiya Janata Party legislator Shailendra Pradhan, has alleged defective EVMs were used even in the 2008 assembly elections.

"Admitting the petition a division bench comprising Chief Justice AK Patnaik and Justice Ajeet Singh on Friday issued notices to the Election Commission, the State Election Commission and the government to file their reply within six weeks," Pradhan told IANS Saturday.
