ELECTRICITY BILL | Now, avail e-payment facility

GOOD NEWS for electricity consumers in Bhopal. They can now pay their power bills through e-bill payment facility. MP Central Region Power Distribution Company (MPCRPDC), Bhopal, has introduced the facility on the trial basis.

GOOD NEWS for electricity consumers in Bhopal. They can now pay their power bills through e-bill payment facility. MP Central Region Power Distribution Company (MPCRPDC), Bhopal, has introduced the facility on the trial basis.

MPCRPDC CMD Ajit Kesri informed today that consumers would have to register themselves on the company’s Internet address www.billdesk.com to avail the facility. A consumer can fill details of average monthly consumption and give instruction to his, her bank to deduct the same amount every month automatically from the bank account.

The consumers can also fix a maximum limit of amount to be deducted for electricity bill payment automatically. In case, bill amount exceeds the maximum permissible limit for some months, the bank would inform the consumer before deducing that amount.

Kesri added consumers could avail their savings or current bank accounts of any bank and the facility comes free. The registration forms are available at the company’s bill payment offices too. The consumers would have to provide the company with an approval from their bank for bill payment facility.

The e-payment facility for paying electricity bills can be utilised in three ways. First, the facility could be available to a consumer on a permanent basis in accordance to permanent instructions provided by him. For that, a consumer would have to contact the company’s customer service desk on phone Nos. 0755-5250000 or 2558000.

Besides, a consumer can also pay electricity bills on-line through the Internet. The company would provide the consumer with details of bills and payment over e-mail.

The third option allows consumers to call up the company to get their bills paid. Prior registration with the company is necessary to avail the facility. Consumers can get more details about this facility from the company’s office or call centre on phone Nos. 2687047 or 12660.

It is compulsory for a consumer to have at all times at least the amount quoted as average electricity bill in the bank account from where the company would receive the bill payment.
