EMOs found absent at 2 CHCs
In an another instance of ignoring government orders, two emergency medical officers (EMOs) posted at community health centres Karchana and Chaka were found absent during the surprise inspection conducted by the CMO on Sunday. CMO Dr Shantimal Singhavi has ordered to cut one day salary of these two EMOs.
In an another instance of ignoring government orders, two emergency medical officers (EMOs) posted at community health centres Karchana and Chaka were found absent during the surprise inspection conducted by the CMO on Sunday. CMO Dr Shantimal Singhavi has ordered to cut one day salary of these two EMOs.
Dr Singhavi conducted surprise inspection of Karchana and Chaka CHCs on Sunday to ensure that the doctors including EMOs remain present to provide emergency services to the residents. He found that the staff and nurses are present at the Karchana CHC but EMO Dr DK Tewari was absent. EMO Dr SCL Dwivedi was also found absent at Chaka CHC. "Orders have been given to cut their one day salary. If again these two EMOs are found absent, strict disciplinary action will be initiated against them," said Dr Singhavi.
He said the EMOs were posted at the district hospital, CHCs and PHCs to provide emergency medical services to the residents. They are supposed to remain present at the rural centres even on Sunday also, he said. "Any negligent attitude towards the duty will not be tolerated on any condition," he further added.
