Employment to 70 lakh people on relief works

Rajasthan deputy chief minister Banwari Lal Bairwa has said that over 70 lakh drought affected people were being provided employment on relief works in the state.

Rajasthan deputy chief minister Banwari Lal Bairwa has said that over 70 lakh drought affected people were being provided employment on relief works in the state.

Addressing a public meeting in Jahajpur tehsil of Bhilwara district, he said over Rs 7,500 crore was being spent on providing employment to the needy, wheat to the destitute and drinking water and fodder for the cattle in the affected areas.

He also inaugurated newly upgraded schools in Amarwasi, Dhod, Peepalund and Shakkargarh villages of Jahajpur tehsil and laid foundation stones of schools to be constructed under the Member of Parliament Regional Area Development Programme.
