The paceman was on Thursday ruled out of the final Test against India starting on Saturday due to a bone stress injury in his right shin.

England, who trail 1-0 in the three-Test series, are scheduled to play seven one-day internationals beginning on March 28.

"From our point of view it looks as though we will look at him for a week, review it all during the test match, and see if he will be available for the two one-dayers and then make a decision if he goes back," Fletcher told a news conference on Friday.

Harmison has played 28 successive Tests.
