It started off as a dairy selling milk in 1928, but it’s now a bare-bones dhaba famous for its mind-blowing paneer parantha and wholesome thali. The mini thali, priced unbelievably at Rs 20, comes with a dal, a sabzi and a chappati (Rs 20); the regular thali has two substantial sabzis (like mutter paneer, shahi paneer or aloo-shimlamirch) and it comes for Rs 30; the special thali includes a parantha. The dhaba also sells fresh cream and a jolly good lassi. The warm service is streets ahead of what you’d get at hip establishments.
