The list of problems stretches longer than the traffic jams. More than 400 people have lost their lives since January 2008 as traffic laws hardly exist on this high-speed expressway.

Disgruntled commuters, primarily the residents of Gurgaon, are now up in arms against the authorities and are demanding the shifting of the toll plazas.

“The Delhi Gurgaon Super Connectivity Limited was awarded the contract to operate the toll plazas in 2002 when no one could have anticipated the explosion of real estate and businesses. The plazas now stand in the midst of populated areas that ought to be made seamless. The hindrances need to be removed,” said RP Indoria, former director general (roads) in the Union ministry of road, transport and highways.

HT is launching a campaign that hopes to give commuters who go through a daily ordeal a platform to voice their concerns. We invite you to share your thoughts with us.
