A four-year old girl was raped by a police havildar who was dismissed from service for another rape a few years ago, police said on Sunday.
Dineshwar Prasad Singh, the dismissed havildar, raped the child at Bhimpura village under Makhdumpur police station in Bihar's Jehanabad district on Saturday when she was playing in the field.
The former havildar has been taken into custody and the victim was being treated at Makhdumpur government hospital.
Singh was dismissed from service after a rape charge against him at Hajipur a few years ago was established, the police said.
