Ex-ministers get judicial remand in J&K sex scam

A local court had extended CBI remand of the two by three days on June 24. That remand expired on Tuesday.

Former Jammu and Kashmir ministers Ghulam Ahmed Mir and Raman Mattoo, arrested in connection with the sex racket case, were sent to judicial remand for 14 days by a court on Tuesday.

The duo, who were in CBI custody, were produced before the Chief Judicial Magistrate MY Akhoon, who extended their remand by 14 more days.

Mir and Mattoo, MLAs from Dooru in Anantnag district and Habbakadal in Srinagar city respectively, were presented in person before the CJM at his residence for the extension of remand.

The court had extended CBI remand of the two former ministers by three days on June 24. That remand expired on Tuesday.
