The villagers, settled along the 8-km stretch between Rajiv Chowk and the expressway’s toll plaza have been demanding that two crossings be set up on this stretch for pedestrians. However, it was agreed that two buses would ferry locals across the stretch free of charge till a facility for pedestrians comes up.

The villagers have threatened to boycott the Lok Sabha polls if an arrangement was not worked out within May 2.
